The short version: Advocary is an educational tool, not a law firm. It gives you information, organization, and drafts. It never gives you legal advice, and every decision about your child stays with you.
What Advocary is
Advocary helps parents and caregivers navigate the special education process. It organizes your records, explains terms and procedures in plain language, tracks dates and deadlines, and drafts letters and documents for you to review and edit. The information in Advocary is general educational information about how special education works.
What Advocary is not

- Using Advocary does not create an attorney-client relationship with anyone.
- Advocary does not tell you what you should do. It presents information and options; you decide.

Some features use artificial intelligence to read documents, summarize information, and draft text. AI output can contain mistakes, including misread dates, numbers, and names. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Keep your password private, and let us know if you believe someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.
Your content
The documents and information you add to Advocary belong to you. You give Advocary permission to store and process them solely to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. Only upload documents and record information you have the right to keep.
Our content
Advocary compiles state-by-state information about special education rules: what each state's regulations provide, the citation behind it, and the date a person last checked it against the source. The underlying laws are public and nobody owns them. The compilation is different: the selection, the wording, the checking, and the dates are our work, and they are licensed to you for your own use in advocating for your child.
That means you are welcome to quote what you read here into a letter, an email, a complaint, or a meeting. That is what it is for. What is not permitted is extracting the compiled information in bulk, whether by hand or by automated means, or republishing it as your own research.
Acceptable use
Use Advocary lawfully and for its intended purpose: supporting your own child or a child you are authorized to advocate for. Do not attempt to access other users' data, disrupt the service, or use it to harass anyone.
Availability and warranties
Advocary is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Advocary and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Ending your account
You can stop using Advocary at any time and ask us to delete your account and data. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Changes
When these terms change in a meaningful way, we will ask you to review and accept the updated version the next time you sign in.
